How to turn on/off Artists, Artworks, Products and Editions in SAM so they appear on your website

Show Artists on your online store 

Profile data is now able to be sent to your website regardless of whether artists have items on the store. New controls in SAM interface allow art centres to control this via on Share to public toggles. This means you are able to set up artist profiles on your website using SAM data. Art centres can use Share to public toggles to determine how much information they wish to share from these pages, so Full artist biography pages can now be generated directly from SAM.

Artist Profiles

To turn on or off an entire artist profile from your online store;

1. Navigate to the artist's profile
2. The first Share to public toggle on the Names & Identity section will turn on or off the entire artist profile for your website.

Artist Information

You can customise which sections of an artist's profile and shown on your online store.

1. Navigate to the artist's profile.
2. Toggle on or off any sections where there is a Share to public toggle.

Inventory - Activating for your online store from SAM artworks, editions, products

You are able to control what is sent to your online store from within SAM. Use the online store toggles to turn things on and off. You can activate online store within an item one at a time, or use bulk actions> bulk edit> online store to toggle items on or off on multiple items at once

Changes in how inventory Status works in new SAM (Sold, available, out of stock)

• Inventory items are sent to API if online toggle is on regardless of status. This means things will be visible on the website even if they are sold in SAM, but their status will be sold and wont be able to be sold.
• This new feature allows AC to showcase work that may have been sold by an artist as a folio. Or to keep a product there until new stock comes back in.

• Take things off your store by turning off the online store toggle once sold. 

  Tip: Use your Advanced search filter and bulk actions to manage this by searching Online > Status . Or ask your web developer to hide things once their status is sold from your web store.

Artworks

Individual Artwork

Control the Artworks that are available to the APIv3 and therefore your online store by using the Online Store toggles on an individual artwork item.

1. Go to the artwork that you want to display on your online store.
2. Go to the Sales Tab.
3. Scroll to the bottom and in the Web section, toggle on or off Online Store. 

Bulk Artworks

To control multiple artworks at once;

1. Search for and then select the relevant artworks using the check boxes to the left side of the list.
2. Then click Bulk Actions > Bulk edit > Online Store.
3. Toggle the option on or off and click Save.

Editions

Individual Editions/Prints

Control the Editions that are available to the APIv3 and therefore your online store by using the Online Store toggles on an individual Edition.

All prints within an Edition

1. Go to the Edition that you want to display on your online store.
2. Go to the Sales Tab.
3. Scroll to the bottom and in the Web section, toggle on or off Online Store. 

Individual Prints

1. Go to the Edition that contains the print/s that you want to display on your online store.
2. Go to the Print.
3. Click on the Sales Tab.
4. Scroll to the bottom and in the Web section, toggle on or off Online Store. 

Bulk Editions

To control multiple Editions/Prints at once;

1. Search for and then select the relevant Editions/Prints using the check boxes to the left side of the Editions list - to select individual prints, expand Editions using the (+) button on the left..
2. Then click Bulk Actions > Bulk edit > Online Store.
3. Toggle the option on or off and click Save.

Products

Individual

Control the Products that are available to the APIv3 and therefore your online store by using the Online Store toggles on an individual product.

1. Go to the product that you want to display on your online store.
2. Go to the Web and Labels Tab.
3. At the top and in the Online section, toggle on or off Online Store. 

Bulk

To control multiple products at once;

1. Search for and then select the relevant products using the check boxes to the left side of the list.
2. Then click Bulk Actions > Bulk edit > Online Store.
3. Toggle the option on or off and click Save.

Syncing data

Note, the updates from your SAM to your Online store depend on your online store connection.

Ask your Web developer how often your data syncs from your SAM to your Online store, and how to manually override and sync the data if you need to.
