A consignment is an agreement where artworks or products are left with a third party, such as a Gallery, to sell. Art centres send multiple artworks and/or products to Galleries, for an exhibition or art fair, and Galleries will be responsible for selling these items. Both the Artist and the Gallery gain a commission from the sales.
The Consignments function is used to track the items that go on Consignment from your art centre. It is also used to organise your artworks for exhibitions and art fairs.
The Consignments function within SAM is essential for managing your consignments, tracking items, generating essential documents, and expanding your sales reach.
