When the first user on a computer is activated, the SAM system will keep them logged in for several hours. This will prohibit the next user from being able to activate their new account.
To activate or reset passwords for different users using the same computer, each subsequent user will need to:
- Copy the link in the Reset Link button in the Welcome to SAM email.
- Open Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge
- Click File, Open a New Incognito or InPrivate Window in your browser.
- Paste the link into that new incognito window.
- Copy the Username and temporary Password.
- Click Sign in.
- Now create the new password that you will use for SAM.
- Enter your new password twice, then enter your first name. Click Send.
The best alternative is for each user to log in to their account on a separate computer, but we understand this isn't always possible.
